The Demo Hills Boating Center is located at 1755 Marina Place (between La Petite Cafe & Bistro and Smith and Jones Realty). The Boating Center operates from May 1st to Labor Day. Small boat rental hours are (weather permitting) from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM every Monday through Wednesday and 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Thursday through Sunday and holidays. All boats must be rented before 4 p.m. and returned before 6:30 p.m. You may reserve a boat over the phone with a payment card. The phone number is 555-1119.
The Boating Center rents peddle boats, rowboats, canoes and kayaks. Personal flotation devices, and oars are also provided. Cash, check, or payment cards are accepted for deposit and payment. Upon return of an undamaged boat and equipment, the deposit will be refunded.
Boat Rental Rules
- The person renting the boat must be a Demo Hills Community Association member of at least 18 years of age. Tenants are considered to be community association members. A form of state ID with proof of age and residence is required.
- A boat rental form must be completed, signed by the renter, and approved by the Boating Center staff before the boat is taken out on the lake.
- All boat occupants will be fitted for a personal flotation device which must be kept on board the boat at all times. This is aUnited States Coast Guard requirement.
- The community association member who signs the rental form must be on board the boat and is responsible for all damaged or lost equipment as well as for any passenger violations.
Rental Boat Restrictions
- Renters may not mount motors of any type on the rental boats.
- Pets are not allowed on the rental boats.
- No alcoholic beverages or glass containers are allowed on the rental boats.
- Swimming in Lake Wannabee is prohibited.
Violations of the boat rental rules and restrictions may result in the loss of rental privileges.
