What equipment is required?
Any computer capable of running a modern web browser. Access your community’s information from anywhere you have broadband access. If you wish to run full points of sale, you will need a Windows computer, Epson receipt printer, bar code scanner, and a credit card terminal.
What is your upgrade policy?
You never have to worry about upgrades. They are included as part of your subscription. In most cases, upgrades are installed overnight. Also, you never have to worry about massive disruptions caused by a major upgrade because our changes are incremental and we go out of our way to minimize the impact on our users.
What about backups?
The system automatically makes multiple redundant backups of your data that are store in different data centers.
How secure are our records?
To protect your information, we have implemented numerous security features including SSL-enabled browser sessions, flexible user permissions, and password expiration rules. We continuously monitor our servers against the latest security threats and add features when necessary for PCI compliance.
Does Forwardpass run on a Macintosh?
Since the system runs on most browsers, you can use it on your Mac.
How do we convert our data?
Depending on the complexity of your data, you may be able to do it yourself. However, we can transfer your data based on an hourly rate. And if you currently use QuickBooks, we have created an import tool for quickly converting your data to Forwardpass.
Can we customize our system?
Forwardpass includes a powerful category system that allows you to customize terminology, subtypes, and status; add custom fields; create unique actions in response to user input; and determine exactly how elements link to the accounting modules of the system.
Does Forwardpass include payroll?
Not yet.
Can you do ordinary accounting with Forwardpass
Absolutely. Unlike many property management systems, Forwardpass maintains separate records for customers and properties. You can link one or more properties to a customer. You can also have customers that are not linked to properties at all. So if you need to set up a customer for whatever purpose, you don't have to shoehorn them into a property record.
